San Francisco, Aug 12 : Tech giant Apple is confident despite analyst predictions and is said to be soliciting its suppliers to build minimum 90 million of the next-generation iPhones. In reality, Apple anticipates to assemble 220 million iPhones in total by 2022, as reported by Bloomberg, AppleInsider reported.
Apple has survived the pandemic slumps with ease.Mac sales, for example have increased in the beginning quarter of 2022, despite the PC market overall slowed.
In the second quarter of 2022, Apple saw its best market share since 2012, capturing 16 percent of the market worldwide.
Apple’s iPhone also accounted for 62 % of the global market share of devices priced more than $400, which suggests that the target market for Apple remains willing to pay for an expensive device.
Recently, a prominent analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said his survey found “no influence on the supply chain of the iPhone 14 models”.
A few days ago, a report stated that the forthcoming iPhone 14 will likely be delayed due to tensions between China and Taiwan.
