Andhra Pradesh has crossed another milestone in the Covid vaccination drive.AP state govt administered 5.01 crore doses of vaccines by 6 pm on Sunday.Andhra Pradesh is already on the list of the top 5 states where two doses of the Covid vaccine have been given to most people in the country.
Recently, five crore vaccines have been administered in AP.In terms of population, more people are vaccinated in AP than in any other large state.
By Sunday evening, 3.17 crore vaccines of the first dose were given to 3,17,02,897 people, and 1,84,26,366 second doses were administered.With this, the total doses crossed 5.01 crores.The vaccination process has been registered in rural, urban areas as well as in agency areas.This makes it clear that vaccinations have also been administered in remote areas of the state.
In the first three months, people did not come forward to get vaccinated at the beginning of vaccination due to the spread of rumours.With the help of the system of ward/village secretariats, volunteers, and more ANMs and Asha workers, the Andhra Pradesh state govt succeeded in vaccinating people on a large scale.
