Another strategy by Amaravati farmers against CM Jagan’s Government!

When the YCP government came to power in the AP, it stopped the work in Amravati and did not even give the developed plots to the farmers. The High Court, which was hearing the petitions filed by the farmers in the wake of the three capitals, ruled that the flats developed should be given to them within six months.

However, the farmers are still questioning who will compensate for the delay.Notices have been sent to the government to this effect.

Farmers who have given land for capital in Amravati are required to develop and register plots already under the CRDA Act made in the previous TDP government. But that process stalled as the YCP government opted for three capitals.

As a result, the flats due to the farmers were not given in full. With this comes the High Court judgment for the farmers who are angry on the matter.

They are now preparing for another attack on the government based on the various elements in it.

Farmers said they would have to undertake the division of plots, construction of roads and physically hand them over within a year of the final announcement during the previous land consolidation. They allege that the CRDA gave a final statement on that calculation in December 2016, according to which the plots were not given within three years and the infrastructure was not developed.

Farmers were reminded that under Section 52 of the Land Acquisition Act, plots developed should be given to those who have voluntarily given up land, for which it should be registered under the RERA Act.Since CRDA is the promoter for this project, it should be registered in RERA.Farmers have warned that they will approach the high court if RERA does not take action on this within a week.

In Amravati, the High Court’s order to undertake capital works by giving plots to farmers as stipulated in the CRDA Act has now become a weapon for them. With the High Court ruling, the issue of timely development of plots in the capital and not being given to the farmers came to the fore.

With this, the farmers are now preparing to go to court against the CRDA for not giving plots in a timely manner.
