AP Chief Minister Jagan’s Delhi tour looks set to be a success.Funding for Polavaram was sanctioned within a few days of meeting the Union Finance Minister.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has issued orders sanctioning Rs 320 crore.In the coming budget, it has been directed to release these funds to the Polavaram Project Authority from the funds allotted to the Union Ministry of Water Energy.
It seems that these funds will reach the state treasury today or tomorrow.
Recently, AP CM Jagan met Prime Minister Modi and several Union Ministers.
The CM, who met Modi along with Nirmala Sitharaman and Jyotiraditya Scindia on the first day, met three other Union ministers on Tuesday.The CM met Union Minister for Education and Skill Development Dharmendra Pradhan and discussed setting up of Navodaya schools in AP, allocation of funds in the budget for central educational institutions and implementation of new education policy.
CM appealed to the union minister to allocate one of the seven mega projects to be set up by the Central Government under Skill Development to the AP.CM Jagan also met Union Information, and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur for the development of sports grounds in AP and the setting up of a government OTT streaming platform.
