Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy disbursed YSR Kapu Nestham funds into the accounts of women.
The YSRCP government has made arrangements to provide financial assistance through the ‘YSR Kapu Nestham’ program for the fourth consecutive year.
This aid is being provided to the Kapu community.
CM Jagan Mohan Reddy went to Nidadavolu in East Godavari district for the state-level programme of the release of Kapu Nestam scheme funds.
A total of Rs.536.77 crore will be released to 3,57,844 eligible women beneficiaries.Under the ‘YSR Kapu Nestham’ scheme, the government provides an annual financial assistance of Rs.15,000 to women from the Kapu, Balija, Telaga, and Ontari castes between the ages of 45 and 60.
This assistance amounts to a total of Rs.75,000 over five years.With this latest release of funds, the total financial assistance provided through the scheme so far is Rs.2,029 crore.
During the Chief Minister’s visit, the traffic restrictions implemented from 6 a.m.to 3 p.m.in Nidadavolu made people uneasy.More than 300 buses were moved from the depots of the joint Godavari districts and Krishna district for this meeting.
Rajamahendravaram-Tadepalligudam bus services were stopped near Nidadavolu.Passengers had to get down there and travel in one vehicle to Samisragudem and from there in another vehicle towards Rajamahendravaram.
Many think that it would have been better if at least some bus services were run from Samishragudem to Rajahmundry.Buses coming from Pangidi and Yarnagudem areas have also been greatly reduced.
Due to traffic restrictions, road closures, and increased auto traffic, traffic jams have been going on in Nidadavolu since Saturday morning and people have been facing hardships.
