Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla on Wednesday reviewed pending issues with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Chief Secretaries Dr Sameer Sharma and Somesh Kumar via video conference from Delhi.Learned the arguments of both states.

The central government said it would convey its view soon.Ajay Bhalla said the central government would provide adequate support to resolve the pending issues between the Telugu states amicably.

Telangana has asked Andhra Pradesh to withdraw the power bill case from the court.Power utilities from AP to Telangana are worth Rs 12,111 crore, while TS Genco has Rs 3,422 crore in arrears.

Telangana has rejected the issues raised by the AP over the Singareni and its affiliated Opmel division.Made it clear that these could not be seen as an issue between the two states.

Telangana said in a statement that the Union Home Ministry agreed with their claim.The AP has filed cases in the High Court on some issues but said that if they are withdrawn, the division will not go ahead.

In the Ninth Schedule it stated that the division remained incomplete due to two cases filed by the AP.Telangana has made it clear that the partition will not move forward unless those cases are drawn.

According to the orders issued by the Supreme Court to the AP Higher Education Council in the Tenth Schedule, the orders given by the Center in 2017 should be applied to all other institutions.While Telangana suggested that a committee comprising Sri Ramakrishna Rao and SP be set up to take up Andhra Bhavan allocations in Delhi, the AP agreed.

The Union Home Secretary suggested that two nodal officers be appointed to look into the division of FDs.

AP Chief Secretary Dr.Sameer Sharma mentioned in the meeting that Andhra Pradesh should pay the revenue deficit funds for 2014-15.Ajay Bhalla focused on funding for Polavaram, setting up of a greenfield crude oil refinery, petrochemical complex and so on.Explained the need for steel plant at Kadapa, airports at Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati with international standards.He also mentioned the development of Ramayapatnam port instead of Duggarajupatnam port.
