San Francisco, Aug 18 : With the aim to boost engagement on Amazon’s platform, the tech giant Amazon is likely to be testing the possibility of a vertical TikTok-like video feed in its app internally. Based on the images that Watchful is the AI product intelligence platform has provided to the Wall Street Journal, the feed, currently known as “Inspire” will appear in the bottom navigation bar in the Amazon app, as per TechCrunch.
“We are always testing new features to customers’ lives more simple,” an Amazon spokesperson was quoted as saying.
If users tap on the diamond-shaped icon they will be able to view articles on the feed, which include the option to purchase any item that are featured in the article, according to the report.
According to the report, this isn’t the first time Amazon has used the same strategy as other major social networks.It even includes Posts as an Instagram imitation feature, as an element of its tools for advertising.
It’s unclear if this feature will ever be made available to the Amazon app.Companies frequently test their ideas internally, even though some might not be available to the general public.
With the teat that it has launched the e-commerce giant joined with other companies with the same concept which include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Spotify, Netflix, etc.
