Recently Energetic star Ram Pothineni has remade the Tamil film, ‘Thadam’, starring Arun Vijay and Tanya Hope which was released in 2018 as ‘RED’ in Tollwood and has scored a decent hit during the Sankranthi season.Ram is seen in dual roles in the film while Nivetha Pethuraj is seen as a police officer who investigates the case related to the lead roles.
Malavika Sharma and Amrita Aiyer are also seen as the other female leads in the film. We have already reported that ‘Thadam’ is also going to have its Bollywood remake as well and the film was officially announced with Sidharth Malhotra and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles.
The makers also confirmed that this Hindi remake will hit the screens in November this year.Sidharth was all set to essay a dual role in the film, but the buzz is that he has now politely opted out of the film. Reports suggest that Sidharth had a few issues with the screenplay of the film and he has expressed his reservations and stepped away from this project.Now the latest update is Aditya Roy Kapur has been locked in to replace Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role and this will also be Aditya’s first double role ever.
Mrunal Thakur will continue to be the female lead in the film which will be directed by Vardhan Ketkar.Keep watching this space for more updates!
