Tamil cinema actor Vijay is set to establish the Thalapathy Vijay Institute through his fan club turned welfare organization, the Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam.Starting from July 15, which coincides with the birth anniversary of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Kamarajar, the institute will be launched across all 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu.The primary aim of this initiative is to provide educational assistance to underprivileged students.
Vijay’s social schemes have been gaining popularity, as evident from the grand celebrations held in June for his 49th birthday.The occasion was marked by packed theaters, large cake-cutting ceremonies, and efforts to feed the poor in Madurai.Speculation regarding Vijay’s entry into politics has increased, especially after he honored the top-ranking students in class 10 and 12 board exams from every district in Tamil Nadu.
To commemorate the event, his fans congregated at a private theater in Madurai, where a 50 kg cake was cut alongside theater staff.The cake bore a message proclaiming, “Vijay will rule Tamil Nadu in 2026.”
In addition to the celebratory events, Vijay’s fan club organized food distribution for the less fortunate in Madurai.They also provided free school supplies, including notebooks, pens, and pencils, to students.
Furthermore, a special screening of Vijay’s blockbuster film ‘Master’ was arranged in theaters across the district, attracting a large number of his fans.
Earlier this month, Vijay attended an event at Chennai’s RK Convention Centre, where he awarded cash prizes and certificates to the top three students in the class 10 and 12 boards.
During his brief address, he emphasized the importance of engaging in constructive discussions and cautioned against the misuse of social media platforms.He also urged students to stay informed about influential figures like Dr.BR Ambedkar, Periyar, and Kamarajar, while being vigilant as responsible voters.
On World Hunger Day, May 28, Vijay’s Vijay Makkal Iyakkam distributed free food to the needy throughout Tamil Nadu.Known as Thalapathy, Vijay is among India’s highest-paid actors and has been featured seven times on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list.
