The counting for the Prakasam and Kurnool district local body elections completed while ago and as expected ruling TDP registers huge victory.TDP candidate Magunta won the seat with a margin of 711 votes over YSRCP candidate China Venkata Reddy.
Magunta bagged 724 votes while YSR Congress candidate Atla Chinna Venkata Reddy secured only 13 votes.Besides, 17 votes were declared invalid, returning officer Hari Jawaharlal said.
Magunta Srinvasulu Reddy thanked the local bodies representatives for electing him with a huge majority.
In Kurnool, TDP candidate Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy won the election by 146 votes.
Out of 1080 votes polled in the district, TDP received 610 votes while his opponent YSRCP candidate Venkateshwar Reddy got 464 votes.
Meanwhile YSRCP alleged that TDP has weaned away its MPTCs and lodged them at camps in neighboring states.
