Now his brother Adi Seshagiri Rao is all set to test his luck in MLC elections on behalf of YSRCP.
According to a statement issued on Saturday, party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced the name of Adiseshagiri Rao as the party candidate for Vijayawada.
YSR Congress Party announced the candidature of G Adiseshagiri Rao and Ummareddy Venkateshwarlu, the party senior leader.The two persons are into the fray of the elections under local bodies’ for MLC seats from Krishna and Guntur districts respectively.
Rao was born in Burripalem of Guntur district and has close association with Vijayawada city for over 40 years.He served as president of Film Federation of India, AP Film Chamber of Commerce president and president of Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation.
Adiseshagiri Rao is the paternal uncle of reigning star “Prince” Mahesh Babu.Adiseshagiri Rao had produced several films.
Seshagiri Rao entered into politics by joining Congress party.He worked as Convenor for AICC Cultural Committee.
