Movie Artists’ Association (MAA) Elections has created a dramatic buzz and has been constantly on the news off late with too many twists and turns.With open word exchanges and challenges between two leading contestants Rajendra Prasad and Jayasudha, the film industry has been divided into two groups.
Finally,the voting was completed yesterday in the midst of arguments and differences.Out of a total number of 702 voters, only 394 of them cast votes through EVMs.
Actors Nandamuri Balakrishna, Murali Mohan, Nagababu, Prakash Raj, Manchu Vishnu, Laxmi Prasanna, Krishnam Raju, Brahmanandam, Rao Ramesh, Ajay, Giribabu, Ravi Babu and others participated in voting.
Chaarcter artist turned director GV Sudhkar Naidu made some interesting comments yesterday after participated in voting.
Speaking to scribes Naidu said he wanted to vote for NOTA option as he didn’t like any of the contestants.
‘’The way elections were conducted is very bad.All artists felt bad with the incidents.I would like to vote for NOTA option but it was not there.I am requesting to put NOTA option.’’Said GV The MAA has mostly seen unanimous elections.In 2000 and 2002 there were elections.This is the third time there is an election for the post of president.
The counting will be taken up after the polling ends.
