Telangana Government unilaterally banned the channels TV9 and ABN Andhra Jyothy thus curbing the freedom of press.No matter the repeated requests from Press Trust of India and other organisations, Telangana Govt remained adamant.
Protesting against the ban,journalisits and civil right activites took a protest march against the Govt decision.However Police arrested more than 100 protestors taking them to their custody during their protests in Basheerbagh.
Protestors condemned the action and raised slogans against the police and Government.
