Rashmika Mandanna, the national crush and phenomenal performer, has announced her 24th film in her seven-year career.The film is titled ‘The Girlfriend’ and it is a thrilling love story that has not been seen or heard before.
Rashmika will play the solo lead in this women-centric film, which is expected to showcase her path-breaking performance.
The film is directed by talented filmmaker Rahul Ravindran and produced by ace producer Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts for their 51st film.
The film also has the collaboration of blockbuster Mass Movie Makers and Dheeraj Mogilineni entertainments.The film’s music is composed by musical sensation Hesham Abdul Wahab and the cinematography is done by Krishnan Vasant, both of whom will add to the film’s appeal.
The team has released a glimpse of the film, which has created a lot of curiosity among the fans.The glimpse features a voiceover of a man who is obsessed with his girlfriend and wants her to be with him all the time.
He says, “I love her so much that she doesn’t need friends, family or anyone else.I am all she needs.
I just want her to be with me 24/7.To have a girl I can call MINE.” The glimpse also shows Rashmika submerged in water, looking distressed and breathless.The film promises to be a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience for audiences of all ages.
Rashmika shared the glimpse on her Instagram account and wrote, “The world is full of great love stories.But there are those few love stories that haven’t been heard or seen before.And ‘The Girlfriend’ is one such.@geethaarts Production No.51 is #TheGirlfriend.#RM24.”
Rashmika has a slew of other films in the pipeline as well.She will be seen next in ‘Animal’ with Ranbir Kapoor, ‘Rainbow’, ‘D 51’, ‘Chhaava’, ‘Pushpa: The Rule’, and an untitled film with Ravi Teja.There are also rumours that she might reunite with Vijay Deverakonda for a film soon.
The principal photography of ‘The Girlfriend’ will commence soon and the fans are eagerly waiting for more updates on this exciting project.
