BRS copied our six guarantees in their Manifesto : Congress

In the political arena of Telangana, an unexpected convergence emerged as the Congress and BJP units in the state found themselves echoing each other’s sentiments.Their collective target? The recently unveiled BRS manifesto, unleashed by none other than Telangana’s enigmatic Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, on a fateful Sunday, the 15th of October.

This manifesto didn’t just reveal the cards up the BRS’ sleeve; it seemed crafted with the explicit aim of eclipsing the Congress’ own grandiose six-fold promises, a spectacle that had unfolded in Hyderabad with much pomp and circumstance.

The President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, A Revanth Reddy, didn’t mince his words.

He dismissed the BRS manifesto as a mere imitation of promises that Congress had made to the people in the preceding years. With a sardonic smile, he remarked that the BRS leadership, until now, had raised skeptical eyebrows at Congress, questioning the feasibility of its pledges.

However, KCR’s unveiled promises made it clear that implementation was indeed possible.

To Revanth Reddy, the BRS manifesto was akin to a relic from a bygone era, a black-and-white movie in a world now painted with vibrant hues.

It was, in his eyes, nothing more than ‘waste paper’, and thus any extended discourse on the matter seemed utterly superfluous.KCR, he contended, was weaving a tapestry of new assurances while the loom of unfulfilled past promises gathered dust.

The BRS leaders, he boldly declared, had forfeited their right to cast aspersions on the Congress. The latter had already unfurled their six-point pledge to the people, rendering any such criticisms moot.

He waved off the BRS’ allegations of election-time largesse, dismissing them as baseless.

In a dramatic challenge, Revanth Reddy summoned the Chief Minister to join him in a solemn oath-taking ceremony at the Telangana Martyrs Memorial on the 17th of October.

Together, they would pledge to engage in the electoral fray without resorting to the time-honored practices of dispensing cash and spirits to the electorate. He vowed to be present at the memorial, ready to take this oath.

As if that weren’t enough, the TPCC president threw down another gauntlet. He dared the Chief Minister to ensure that government employees received their salaries and social security pensions reached 55 lakh beneficiaries in the state on the hallowed day of November 1st.The challenge was set, and the stage was primed for a showdown of promises and actions.

Union Tourism Minister and Telangana BJP state president G Kishan Reddy said the people in the state would not believe the promises made by the KCR in the BRS manifesto.

“He (Chandrashekar Rao) made several promises during elections in 2014 and 2018, and at the time of the GHMC municipal elections. But he failed to fulfil them,” Kishan Reddy said at a press conference at the party’s state office in Nampally.

Kishan Reddy said people were in no mood to listen to the false promises of the chief minister. One can ask anyone in the state about KCR and they would clearly say that he failed to implement the promises made during elections.
