As Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has announced his party’s alliance with the Telugu Desam Party in the upcoming polls in AP, leaders from both the parties are getting set to work together. The seat sharing between the two parties will be based on the chances of winning while some leaders have to be ready for personal sacrifices.
This alliance between Jana Sena and TDP has brightened prospects of some political leaders while dampening a few.
Aspirants who have strived hard in their respective constituencies are now feeling unhappy, anticipating that certain constituencies will go to the JS post its alliance with TDP.
There is already speculation that the Kakinada Lok Sabha seat and Kakinada Rural assembly constituency may be given to Jana Sena.
Some JS cadres say Pithapuram assembly seat may also be given to the Pawan Kalyan-led party.
Remaining Kakinada, Peddapuram, Tuni, Prathipadu and Jaggampeta assembly constituencies will be allotted to Telugu Desam Party candidates.
However, if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also joins the alliance, Kakinada assembly constituency may be given up by TDP in favour of BJP.Jana Sena leaders fear that JS may then lose the Kakinada LS seat to BJP, but get Amalapuram Lok Sabha constituency.
Some Telugu Desam leaders are now contemplating to join Jana Sena for securing seats to contest the forthcoming elections.
It is said former Telugu Desam Party MLA Pilli Anantha Lakshmi and her husband and TDP senior leader Pilli Satyanarayana Murthy are preparing the ground to join JS.
In Kakinada Rural, senior political leader Pantham Venkateswara Rao (Nanaji) is in-charge of Jana Sena and is hopeful of getting the seat.
