Ameesha Patel, in a recent interview, revealed that filmmaker Rakesh Roshan had asked Kareena Kapoor to leave the movie ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ due to disagreements.Ameesha and Hrithik had a successful debut with the film in 2001.
According to Ameesha, Kareena didn’t back out; instead, Rakesh Roshan requested her to leave because they had differences.This decision surprised everyone as the film’s set was ready, and they had to find a replacement for Sonia, Kareena’s character, in just three days.
Ameesha shared that Rakesh was excited when he saw her at a wedding and couldn’t sleep all night, hoping she would say yes to the role.
When Ameesha got the offer, she didn’t know about Rakesh’s restless night or the background story.
Rakesh Roshan has praised her for being a blessing in disguise and paying attention to his guidance on set.
Regarding potential sequels to ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ and ‘Humraaz,’ Ameesha expressed her enthusiasm.She believes that if there is demand from the audience and a suitable storyline, sequels should be considered.
In a previous interview, Rakesh Roshan mentioned that he replaced Kareena as the lead actor in ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ due to the involvement of Kareena’s mother, Babita.
Kareena Kapoor, in an old interview, expressed contentment with her decision to leave the film.She mentioned that Ameesha didn’t look attractive in the movie and even had pimples and under-eye bags in some scenes.
Kareena clarified that despite her departure, there were no issues between Hrithik and her.
