He questioned Bandi Sanjay spending ₹100 crore of the party’s money for advertisements during the Munugode by-election, but pointed out that when he (Rao) contested in the Dubbaka by-elections, he had received nothing.

Interacting with the media in New Delhi, he demanded that the party give him proper recognition.“I want to be appointed as state unit president, party floor leader in the Assembly, or the national spokesperson in recognition of my services for the party for the last 10 years,” Raghunandan Rao said.

Rao said that he was also eligible for the post of party president since he has been working for the party for 10 years and added that his caste can be a curse for him in some matters.

“Everyone will see how the BJP will be in the next two months,” he said, exuding confidence that he will win as MLA from Dubbaka for the second time.

Stating that he wants to stay in the party, Rao said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah did not campaign in Dubakka during the by-elections; nobody helped him.He added that BJP MLA Eatala Rajender joined the party only after the party won the elections in Dubakka.Rao said that the BJP got only 3,500 votes when its candidate contested earlier.

MLA Raghunandan didn’t spare BJP national leaders too in his fiery speech.

He stated that the party won’t get votes with photographs of Telangana in-charges Tarun Chugh and Sunil Bansal. It will get votes only with the photographs of himself and Rajender.

The Dubbaka said that BJP national president JP Nadda was unaware that the party does not have a floor leader in the Assembly and when the same was brought to his notice, he only asked why and failed to take corrective measures.

Rao stated that he would lodge a complaint against Nadda with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi if there was no recognition for his services.
