Sobhita portrayed the character of Vaanathi in both parts of “Ponniyin Selvan” and received praise for her performance.

Earlier this year, she appeared as Anil Kapoor’s girlfriend in the first season of “The Night Manager” and will reprise her role in the upcoming second season. However, Sobhita’s journey wasn’t always smooth, especially during her audition phase.

Recalling her experience with ad auditions, Sobhita shared, “When you’re starting out, everything feels like a battle.Coming from a non-film background, I remember being told multiple times during ad auditions that I wasn’t fair enough.

They would blatantly tell me that I wasn’t pretty enough to my face.Although it didn’t discourage me, it made me think differently.” She mentioned that instead of dwelling on those comments, she decided to be more creative and think outside the box to find her place in the industry.Sobhita’s approach involved attending auditions and giving her best, rather than waiting for a renowned filmmaker to discover her talent.

Addressing the queries about her limited screen time in “Ponniyin Selvan II,” Sobhita explained how she made the most of her role.In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, she stated, “Right from the start, I didn’t have characters with extensive screen time. This experience taught me to utilize even the smallest moments to make a lasting impact.”
