Telugu Desam Party leaders have demanded a judicial probe into alleged grabbing of 650 acres’ land in Vissannapeta by aides of industries minister Gudivada Amarnath.
TDP vice president Pasarla Prasad and state general secretary Lodagala Krishna pointed out that the first purchaser of Vissannapeta land is Boddeti Prasad, a very close aide of the minister.Prasad and Krishna pointed out that Amarnath is also an accused in grabbing of Waqf Board lands in the district.“We have evidence of the minister’s land dealings in the region.We will produce it at an appropriate time,” they stated.
Chandrababu Naidu, at his Pendurthi public meeting, had alleged that Amarnath had grabbed the Vissannapeta land.
The minister, in turn, offered to quit politics if Naidu proved it.Prasad felt Amarnath should have not commented against Chandrababu Naidu.He pointed out that TD had rescued Amarnath and his family when Congress ditched them after the demise of Gudivada Gurunadha Rao.
The TD leaders reminded the minister that it was Chandrababu Naidu, who regularised lands belonging to 60,000 people at a public meeting held in AU Engineering College in 2017.
The former CM also sanctioned Tidco houses to a large number of people.In contrast, YSRC is giving just 48 square yards of land to the poor, Prasad and Krishna maintained.
