YSR Congress Party leader Dr.Gurumurthy has become the MP in a by-election for Tirupati after the sitting MP Balli Durga Prasad passed away.Gurumurthy was the physiotherapist of Jagan during his Padayatra.Jagan decided to reward him for his seva.
Gurumurthy is said to be non-controversial and educated, people expected him to do good for the constituency.But after the elections, he became unavailable completely and is staying mostly in Delhi only.
Even his representatives or staff are also unavailable in the constituency.
Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency is a complex constituency as half of it is in Chittoor district and the remaining in Nellore.
Sources say that Gurumurthy believes he can not win as an MP.
He believes by-election is different thing as the Opposition not in the fray, but facing a General Election is a different ball game altogether.Gurumurthy is not even touring all Assembly constituencies under Tirupati Loksabha.The MP wants to contest as an MLA from any of the three SC reserved constituencies – Satyavedu, Sulluripeta, and Gudur.
He is only concentrating on these three constituencies leaving aside the remaining.
