Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and Urban development Minister K.T.Rama Rao(KTR) has challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday to name a state that has performed better than Telangana in the past 9 years.A day after Modi addressed a public meeting in Hyderabad, KTR took to Twitter to throw the challenge.
Minister KTR listed the achievements of Telangana and claimed that it had the highest per capita growth in India, provided drinking water to all homes, completed the world’s largest lift irrigation project, and has the best rural development model in India with 100% Open Defecation Free (ODF) plus villages.Telangana is also the second highest paddy producer and the highest number of IT jobs creating state in India.
KTR also pointed out that Telangana has the highest green cover growth, won the second highest number of awards for municipalities, and is among the top 4 contributing states to Indian GDP.Telangana is a top 3 ranked state in Ease of Doing Business and has the best industrial policy in India.It is also home to India’s largest textile park and the vaccine hub of the world.Telangana has the lowest Debt – GSDP ratio and the lowest corruption rate in India as per the latest survey of Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS).
“The state is also the vaccine hub of the world and has highest per capita power consumption in India.It is the second largest renewable energy producer in India,” he wrote.
