Bengaluru 13th of September : In its ongoing campaign against encroachment Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is a civic agency was able to carry out a brutal demolition campaign at 18 places in Bengaluru on Tuesday, the second day of.
The official notice from BBMP stated that the demolition drive had been conducted in the Mahadevapura zone as well as Yelahanka zones.In the Mahadevapura zone demolition drives were conducted in the Shantiniketan Layout, Papaiah Reddy Layout and Challaghatta localities.

The areas were flooded and experienced major water-logging issues in the midst of heavy rains.

The group of engineers and revenue officers, marshals and police officers were present during the operation in which two Hitachi and eight JCB machines were employed.

Nalapad Academy in Challaghatta has been encroaching on 2.5 meters of width as well as 150.5 meters of storm water drainage has been encroached upon.50 meters of the encroachment was cleared and the work will go on.

In Shantiniketan Layout, seven buildings and four compound walls have been removed.The the owners of flats and buildings complained that they had bought them from builders and that banks have also provided loans to these properties.Then, BBMP is demolishing without any notice, and they aren’t sure what to do.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has told the meeting that the sum of Rs 600 crore has already been allocated to construct infrastructure throughout the state.He also declared that he will give 1,800 crore to fund the development of storm water drainage systems in Bengaluru.

The work would be completed within a time-frame.

Krishna Bhairegowda, Congress MLA in the Congress MLA session, said in the debate that Bengaluru is a global concern and the government should ensure that all stormwater drains in Bengaluru are developed.
