Beijing 13th September : China’s National Observatory on Tuesday increased the typhoon alert level to the second-highest level as Muifa is the 12th of this year is expected to hit land in Zhejiang province on Wednesday.Gale-force winds are expected to lash the coastal regions of Taiwan, Zhejiang, Fujian, Shanghai and Jiangsu from Tuesday until the afternoon of Wednesday, Xinhua news agency reported the National Meteorological Centre as saying.
In the next three days heavy rain is expected to fall on parts of Taiwan, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shandong and Liaoning according to the forecast.
The Centre has advised the above regions to prepare for the typhoon, and advised residents to stay clear of traveling.
