After they leave, they have left hundreds of pieces of the Russian war machine, which, since Putin’s “special military operation” began, hasn’t been able to live up the pre-war claims of being one of the world’s top powerhouses, CNN reported.

This Russian losses result from the result of numerous of current issues that are currently battling face-to-face with an Ukrainian army that is patient, disciplined and filled with millions of dollars of the Western military equipment that Russia is unable to compete with.

And without a dramatic and possibly unorthodox intervention by Putin and his cronies, Ukrainian victories are likely to grow according to analysts.

Many of Russia’s issues, including poor and inflexible leadership, low morale of the troops, insufficient equipment and logistics, all plagued by issues with maintenance have been apparent from the beginning of the war, more than seven months ago.

The Russian military’s hollow core, which included tanks that became easy targets for Ukrainian ground troops, as well as trucks that didn’t have the proper tyres for them to travel across Ukraine’s terrain was quickly exposed due to tactics that were not appropriate to the attack Putin had in mind, CNN reported.

As the fighting grew more intense, Ukrainian forces aimed their guns at Russian leaders by killing colonels and generals who were expected to unite to the Russian forces.

Pavel Filatyev, a Russian paratrooper fighting for the army’s takeover of Kherson in the Ukrainian city of Kherson earlier in the war said to CNN in the last week that his unit was not equipped with even the basics in the operation.

“Several days following the time we came to Kherson numerous of us were without any water, food or sleeping bags,” he said.

“Because it was extremely cold at the night, we couldn’t sleep. We would go through our trash and rags to wrap ourselves up to stay warm.”

Their armaments were not up to scratch, he said, adding that “all of our weapons are from the time of Afghanistan” which is where Russian forces engaged in combat from 1979 to 1989.
