Los Angeles, Sep 13 : Actor Brett Goldstein, who the second time in succession, was awarded the Outstanding Supporting Actor in the Comedy Series category at the 74th Emmy Awards, said that he will not swear in his speech to accept the award.Goldstein who is Roy Kent on the Apple TV+ soccer show took to the stage and said he will not swear in his acceptance speech as he used to do last year.
He claimed that this was due to the fact that he did swear, the speech did not take off in the UK and his parents didn’t see it.
“I’m going to do my best not to swear,” he added.
“Thank for the Academy and Apple Thank you to Jason and Phil and Brendan and especially Joe Kelly for creating this incredible thing and giving me take a tiny piece of the magic.”
“I will never underestimate it.It’s incredible.To the cast and my fellow nominees, the most difficult thing about being in “Ted Lasso” is being in the middle of a scene and not ruining the experience by saying, “God you’re good’.”
“I was warned not to swear,” he continued.
“My family has never been able to hear me say that thank you for the second chance mom and dad (muted).I’m sorry.Thank you so greatly.Thank you.”
The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards is hosted by Kenan Thompson and is broadcast on Lionsgate Play in India.
