Damascus 11th September : The Syrian Health Ministry has reported 16 cases of cholera in the city in the north of Aleppo.The first patient of the disease, which was an infant of nine years old was cured after just six days of treatment The Ministry declared on Saturday in an announcement, confirming the spread of the illness in the city in the last week.
Another 15 are in quarantine and are being treated in Aleppo’s hospitals.said.
In the meantime the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported that cholera outbreaks have occurred in the city in the eastern part of Deir al-Zour since Tuesday and killed four people, Xinhua news agency reported.
The number of cases of cholera in Deir al-Zour is increasing due to the contamination of water according to the British-based monitor of war.
