Dubai 10th, September : As they prepare for the start of their Asia Cup 2022 final against Pakistan on Sunday, Sri Lanka cricket captain Dasun Shanaka has expressed his delight with the team’s performance so far and has said that they are looking forward to playing in the final.Sri Lanka reached the final of the Asia Cup by beating India, Afghanistan and Pakistan in the Super Four stage.
The Islanders have proved to be a shaky finalist even though they entered the tournament in a difficult time for the country because of economic difficulties.
Because of the how his team has come to come back from losing their opening match against Afghanistan, Shanaka said they are looking forward to playing in the final game against Pakistan.
“As as a team, we’re very excited to play in the final.Pakistan are a great team.
Every match has been a nail-biter and we’re eagerly awaiting the final match,” the Sri Lanka captain stated on the day of the game.
“As an event in the past it has been one of the most memorable Asia Cups we have had and we’re looking towards the finals,” he further added.
The T20 World Cup scheduled in just a few days, Sri Lanka will take lots of satisfaction after their success in the Asia Cup as they had entered the tournament with a much of success, but they were able to make it to the final.
