Chennai 9th, Sep : Chennai, Sep 9 : BJP in Tamil Nadu has taken aim at Congress chief Rahul Gandhi over allegedly wearing a high-priced T-shirt in his ‘Bharath Jodo Yatra’ that began in Kanniyakumari on Wednesday.The BJP tweeted, “Bharat, dekho (India look),” and posted two images one of Rahul Gandhi in T-shirts and the other depicting the cost of an identical T-shirt to that he was wearing.
The BJP claimed that the Burberry T-shirt was priced at Rs 41,257.
Burberry, an British high-end fashion label, isn’t sold in India and is able the ability to be purchased internationally, if required.
The Congress in turn, hit to rebuke the BJP with tweet in Hindi that read: “Hey, are you worried about the crowds that are gathering to attend the Bharat Jodo Yatra? Discuss problems.Discuss inflation and unemployment.If we are going to discuss clothes Modiji’s Rs.10 lakh suit as well as glasses worth Rs 1.5 lakh glasses will also be discussed.”
Rahul Gandhi will be traveling across Kanniyakumari from the city of Kanniyakumari to Kashmir in the course of Congress”Bharat Jodo Yatra’.He together with others Congress leaders will walk 25km a day.An overall of 117 Congress leaders will be with Rahul Gandhi in the yatra.It according to Congress is aimed at unifying India that has been divided by the ‘unforgivable policy of the BJP.
