Goa Police ready to file chargesheet in Phogat case

Panaji 9 Sep : The Superintendent of Police (North) Shobit Saxena on Friday stated that Goa Police are in a good position in their investigation of TikTok stars as well as BJP head Sonali Phogat’s murder and are certain of the filing of charges.
Saxena stated that the team of police that was on the way to Haryana to investigate the incident has returned and is studying the investigation.

“Three investigating officers are analyzing the investigations of this incident.The investigation is currently being examined at the highest level.We are in an excellent position with regards to the investigation and are sure of making the chargesheet.” Saxena said.

While family members of Sonali Phogat have demanded an investigation by Central Bureau of investigation (CBI) in her murder, Goa DGP Jaspal Singh recently stated that the state police have the capability of getting this case to a conclusion.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has stated the fact that Goa Police are conducting a thorough investigations in the case of Phogat.

However the opposition political parties in Goa have been of the view that the matter should be transferred to the CBI.

Phogat arrived in Goa on the 22nd of August.She was staying in an hotel in Anjuna.She was uneasy the night before and the next day she was taken to St.Anthony hospital in Anjuna where she was declared to death.

The police on the 26th of August were able to arrest Sudhir Sangwan (Phogat’s PA) as well with Sukwinder Singh in connection with her murder.

Police have said that methamphetamine-based drugs were believed to be given to Phogat during the time she was drinking in Curlies restaurant in Anjuna.
