Jammu 9th Sep : Authorities put restrictions in place on Friday in Jammu and the Kashmir’s Rajouri town to ensure the law and order.Officials have stated that restrictions under section of the 144 CrPc were imposed in Rajouri town in order to protect peace and law.In these preventive orders an gathering of at least five is deemed to be unlawful.
The town was tense in the wake of the demotion of an Kashmir administrative service (KAS) officer due to remarks he was alleged to have made against a subordinate who chose to eat vegetarian food during lunch with the officer during office hours.
When the subordinate filed an official complaint with the police officer, he was put under suspension until an investigation was conducted.
Authorities have put in place restrictions to prevent any conflict between the two communities following the Friday’s prayers of the congregation in the town.
Massive deployments of paramilitary and police forces have been ordered to ensure the peace in the city.
