Kanyakumari 8 Sep : Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra official YouTube channel was shut down on Thursday providing any video content, the day that the yatra officially began at Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari. “Video unavailable! The video has been removed due to the YouTube account associated with the video has been shut down,” reads the YouTube link.
Congress social media chief Supriya Shrinate has said she wanted to figure out the reason behind it and only then can she speak out about it.
The Congress had set up a livestreaming program for its more than 3,570 km yatra that will pass across two union territories and 12 states.
After raising the flag on the camp of Bharat Yatris in the early hours of Thursday morning, Rahul Gandhi made a first stop at the High Secondary School in the Tamil Nadu state of Suchindram in Kanyakumari located 15 kilometers from the start point.
Many people took part in the yatra in addition to the official yatris.
People were greeted by Rahul Gandhi along the route and swapped notes with Rahul Gandhi.Kanyakumari is an important stomping ground of the Congress with sitting MLAs and three MPs who put on a huge spectacle for the Yatra.
Kanyakumari MP Vijay Vasanth said, “The Yatra will alter the social and political discussion of the nation, since people will learn more about the political party.”
In the early morning, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi began his walk to the Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra at this point.He was joined by P.Chidambaram and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
However, all the parties’ state organizations will be taking separate padyatra in the states they represent for a month, while all blocks held padsyatras on Wednesday.
The’Bharat Jodo Yatra’ event of the party will feature Gandhi and his companions interacting with selected groups of people between 7 a.m.until 10.30 a.m.every day, and there will be a massive connect program in the evening.All yatris including Gandhi will be able to take a rest in special containers by the end of the day.
In advance of the yatra Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday said that it will be the crucial moment in Indian political life and be a new beginning.
