They themselves decided not to visit the temple despite the requests of local authorities to visit the temple and pray.If they were not allowed to go by the administration, how could others of the team performed their prayers in the temple?.”

The opposition Congress and the leaders of other political parties outside of Madhya Pradesh reacted on the issue, confronting the government BJP in the name of “stopping” the couple from going to the temple.

The state Congress has described the Hindu group’s protests as “political terrorist activity”.

But, Mishra said that the protest and the couple’s decision to refusing to offer prayers in the temple are distinct issues.

Mishra who is renowned for his views on Hinduism with his straightforward responses, decided to offer an important piece of advice to Ranbir Kapoor.Mishra advised, “Whoever it is, Ranbir or anyone else, they should refrain from making statements that hurt the religious beliefs of individuals.”

Mishra was referring to the statement of Ranbir’s ten years ago, in which the bollywood actor had stated “I am an mutton, paya, beef.red meat man.I’m a beefy person.”

In response to the Home Minister’s comments in response, the state Congress media wing’s head K.K.Mishra stated, “Ranbir and Aila returned from Ujjain not offering prayers at the Mahakal temple because of the fear of “political terrorism.”.”

On Twitter, over the same topic, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, who is a Shiv Sena MP, attacked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Sharing the old photo of Modi as Prime Minister with actors from films, she wrote, “None of this photo op is going to help in the long run if you’ll remain silent and apathetic and it’s not even your job to discuss politics. They will be after you regardless.Mahakaleshwar temple protests in Ujjain is an example in the matter. It is a shame that prejudices from the political spectrum are the cause of such ugliness. The sporadic protests prior to each movie release has turned into an industry and lobby, and if it isn’t collectively addressed, we are quickly heading towards an unending abyss of fear, hatred and silence.

The film industry is a job source, thousands of people rely on it.Make yourself known.”

In particular, Ranbir and Alia along with the entire crew of their upcoming film, Brahmastra Part One Part One Shiva traveled from Mumbai to Indore to offer prayers at the Mahakal temple.

Bajrang Dal activists gathered outside the Nirmalaya Gate of the temple in Ujjain and protested against the couple’s access to the temple.

In the wake of ongoing protests over the arrival of their team, whole team initially returned to Ujjain district collector Ashish Singh’s home. After spending a while there the couple decided to not proceed with their plans to visit the temple due to security concerns particularly for pregnant Alia Bhatt.

As Ranbir-Alia retreated to Indore after spending a few hours at the residence of the collector the rest of their crew including director Ayan Mukerji, went to the temple to pray before heading for Indore.
