Kanyakumari 7th September : Robert Vadra, the husband of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has posted posters in the city that support Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yotra’.A number of posters were erected in the city.
His supporters claim that he would like the Yatra to be a success.The posters feature images of ex- Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Vadra together with Sonia Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.
The posters were displayed by Abhijit the coordinator of the national level of the NSUI however, they’re not included of the official poster of the party.Party leaders claim that they do not know about them.
The posters were however distributed by Vadra himself with the media.Vadra has ambitions in politics and would like to run for election to the Lok Sabha according to sources.
The posters were released just as Rahul Gandhi announced his yatra that will officially begin early on Thursday.
The Yatra will travel through 12 states and two UTs.General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal said, “We have not involved in the states that are voting of Gujarat as well as Himachal Pradesh.”
However, all state organizations will issue distinct padyatras in the span of one month, while all blocks were able to release padyatras around 5 p.m.on Wednesday.
The party will launch the massive Yatra with the yatris gathering small groups of people.Later in the evening, it will be a mass-connect program.
All yatris, including Rahul will have a their rest in specially designed containers.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday said that this would be an important crucial moment in Indian political affairs and be a new beginning.
“A day when India’s longest-running political party will announce the longest padyatra it has ever conducted.It’s a dark day, a time for reflection and renewed determination.This is the moment of change in Indian political life.It is the beginning of a new era,” Ramesh said.
