Chennai 7th September : The Crime Branch- Criminal Investigation Department (CB-CID) team that is investigating the clashes between Panneerselvam (OPS) and Palaniswami (EPS) factions of the AIADMK at the party’s headquarters on July 11 began investigations on Wednesday.The team of investigators arrived at the party’s headquarters in the early hours of the morning.
The CB- CID team was conducting an investigation following an investigation initiated by AIADMK chief and ex-law minister CVe Shanmugham.He is in the complaint claimed that O.Panneerselvam faction’s leaders and leaders had raided the party’s headquarters on the 11th of July.
The law minister who was the former government official filed a petition with to the Madras High Court recently stating that CB- CID officials were not conducting an investigation into his complaint.
The team was headed by Venkatesan, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Venkatesan.
On the 11th of July, when the AIADMK general council meeting was held at Vangaram close to Chennai there was a clash between members of Panneerselvam and Palaniswami.
