Panaji 7th September : Affirming his anger at the BJP government in Goa over the allegations of murders in the state, Goa Forward Party president and MLA Vijai Sardesai on Tuesday stated that If the situation isn’t taken care of, then the Goa residents of Goa are likely to be forced out of the state and goons will be able to settle in the state.In expressing his displeasure over the ongoing investigation into the suspected murder of BJP leader Sonali Phogat in Anjuna, Sardesai said that the police remain in a state of confusion as to the motive behind the killing.
“Sonali Phogat’s family claims that it was a murder.People accused of the murder are detained however, police are unsure of the what the motive of the crime,” Sardesai said.
He stated the law and order system has completely fallen away in Goa because murders are happening and bodies of dead people are being discovered.
“Shootout was a reality in Curchorem due to the impact of Sand mining.
Other suspected murders have occurred in the state in these days.This suggests that the state not been able to come up with a suitable policy regarding sand mining or to provide police for the safety of citizens or to provide leadership to the entire state.” Sardesai said.
On August 31 an employee of sand extraction in Jharkhand was killed while another was seriously injured in the firing incident in Curchorem in South Goa.Yusuf Alam, 23, and Mohammed Sahu, 33, were taken to the health centre following the incident.Alam was declared dead and Sahu was taken to Goa Medical College for treatment due to the fact that he was in critical condition.
“Pramod Sawant is the one responsible for the failures.I’ve always said that if the mining strategy isn’t correct, then Goa will become a “Gangs of Wasseypur’.It is likely to happen here.Goans will be tired of the (crimes) and quit the state, and these criminals will come to the country and establish their own gangs,” Sardesai added.
“For this reason, I am urging the citizens of the state to be aware.We must ask Pramod Sawant what he doing? His goal is to woo eight MLAs of the Congress and create the Goa an open to opposition.Goa.”
“People of Goa should ask these eight MLAs the reason they’d like to be part of the BJP in these situations,” he said.
