New Delhi, Sep 5 : Renovated Central Vista Avenue with added new public amenities that make it safer and easier for all will be opened by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 8.
The Central Vista Avenue Refurbishment Project modernized the avenue while restoring elements with historical significance.

A top official of the Ministry of Urban affairs said that 74 old light poles and the chain links were restored, updated and reinstalled on the site.More than 9000 new light poles were added whenever necessary to ensure the area is always safe for visitors.

They are located along the Rajpath canals, canals, rows of trees, newly constructed parking bays, as well as the India Gate Precinct.

Officials announced that four pedestrian underpasses for pedestrians have been constructed at busy intersections in order to separate pedestrians and vehicles which makes the street safe to traverse.

All amenity buildings and underpasses come with ramps with railings of the appropriate heights to ensure safety for children and those with disabilities.

In addition, the arrangements for the Republic Day Parade have been uniform and integrated.

Modular bleachers have been suggested to be used for Republic Day seating arrangements, making it easier and quicker in the process of setting up and dismantling and reducing the damage to lawns.Light poles are equipped with the required technology and services to support the annual Republic Day Parade, connected to the recently constructed underground service lines.
