New Delhi, Sep 5 : LG Electronics on Monday, launched its exclusive non-fungible token (NFT) platform known as LG Art Lab compatible with its premium TVs.The brand new platform, which is available in the US on the company’s TVs running WebOS 5.0 or later, and accessible through the home screen allows users to purchase and sell digital artwork.
“When shown on the cinematic 16:9 aspect ratio screens of LG’s TVs, NFTs truly come into being,” the company said in an announcement.
LG’s new platform is built on the Hedera network, which is the enterprise-grade ledger used for the economy that is decentralised.
It makes selling and buying as easy as it can be by incorporating QR codes on the screen that allow users to swiftly complete transactions through Wallypto — LG’s cryptocurrency wallet that is available for mobile phones, LG said in a statement.
After purchase the NFT is able to be sold on the ‘LGArt Lab Marketplace which is where users can view transactions history.Additionally, in My Collection you can view every one of their own artworks.
The platform also has the “LG Art Lab Drops” feature, which highlights artists and shows new works that will be added to the platform in the near future.
In addition the live Live Drops countdown ensures users never miss the chance to obtain an ajusted dropped NFT.
LG Art Lab welcomed the first-ever digital art work by famous artist Barry X Ball.
Famous for his innovative interpretation of modernist and classical sculptures by using the most recent 3D scanning and printing techniques along with the traditional methods, Barry X Ball is making his debut in the realm of NFT art with the unique ‘Metal’ series of digital art.
