Mumbai 4th September : The top industrialist and former Tata Group Chairman Cyrus P.Mistry was killed in an accident close to Maharashtra’s Palghar on Sunday.He was 54 years old.According to the officials, Mistry, who heads the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, was travelling between Ahmedabad to Mumbai when his car struck the road divider close to Charoti.
There were four persons in the vehicle, of which two including Mistry was injured in the crash that caused the vehicle to be badly damaged.
The other two victims who’s identities were not known, were admitted to the local hospital in Kasa.
NCP MP Supriya Sule expressed shock at the incident.
“Devastating Information My Brother Cyrus Mistry passed away.It’s hard to believe.
“Rest in Peace Cyrus,” she said in a tweet.
The news caused shock waves in Indian business and political circles with many people reacting with initial shock and disbelief.
