Hyderabad Sep 4, : Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao has asked secular and democratic forces to unite to stop attempts by evil forces to spread religious hatred. He invited thinkers and intellectuals to join in his fight against divide of the people in the name of religion to pursue selfish political reasons. He stated that there’s no place to promote religious hatred in Telangana.
KCR who is the chief minister widely known, made this statement when a group of the state heads of Communist Party of India (Marxist) visited KCR in his residence of official status, Pragati Bhavan.
The CPI(M) delegation was led by state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram and it included former MLA Julakanti Rangareddy and party central committee member Cherupalli Sitaramulu.
They debated a variety of national and political issues for around an hour.
In his remarks at the time, KCR said that some dissident forces conspired to cause tension in the name of religion for selfish political reasons in the tranquil Telangana State.
He acknowledged CPI(M) for stepping to the table in reaction to his request to unify the democratically-minded intellectuals, supporters and political leaders from the civil society to stop the machinations of the divisive forces.
CPI(M) leaders have told KCR that they would extend their full support to KCR’s struggle against the forces of religious hatred.
At the time, CPI(M) members submitted an official memorandum to the chief minister regarding various issues faced by the people.
The CPI(M) on September 1st resolved to extend its support to Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the coming by-election for Munugode Assembly seat.
Veerabhadram stated that there was a need to snoop on BJP that was “misusing” institutions to serve its political goals.
The decision of the CPI(M) was taken just two weeks after the CPI announced its support for the TRS.The CPI leaders had shared a dais with CM KCR in a gathering for the public organized by the TRS in the district on the 20th of August.
The CPI chose to extend its unconditional support for the TRS because it believed the TRS had the power to take on the BJP.
