By Sundeep Pouranik Raipur 4th of September : With Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh just a little over an year away, both Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been working on strategies to compete.
The political stalemate has increased in the state that is prone to elections with the announcements of political plans by both parties.
The BJP has been in the powerhouse in the state for almost one and a half decades, but in the state’s 2018 Assembly elections that year, the Congress won the state in a decisive way, defeating the BJP by a massive difference of seats.
Both Congress as well as the BJP are awash with information about the coming Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh to be held in 2023 as the Congress faces a major challenge to remain in power and the BJP is trying hard to get back into power after being thrown out of the power for the past five years.
The Congress has 71 MLAs in the state’s 90-seat Assembly and the BJP has 14 MLAs along with the Janata Congress Chhattisgarh has three MLAs and the Bahujan Samaj Party has two MLAs.
The BJP is working to alter the situation on the ground, which is why the party has had a complete overhaul.
Ajay Jamwal has been appointed the Regional General Secretary (organisation) and has been given the responsibility of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh party unit.The saffron-colored party has decided to move Jamwal’s headquarters to Raipur.
In the same way to this, it is also the case that the BJP is also appointing Arun Sao to be the state president in place of Vishnudeo Sai.The saffron-colored party is planning to take on against the Congress administration at the local level .It has also elected a new state party president.They also named Narayan Chandel as the new leader of the party’s legislative branch in the state Assembly and has replaced Dharamlal Kaushik.
The BJP is directly slamming Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s Congress government in place of the Congress party.
Opposition leader Narayan Chandel says that huge corruption has been uncovered in the state, however the Chhattisgarh government is active in advertising itself.
Through the collection of fudged unemployment figures the government in Chhattisgarh is attempting to deceive the citizens of the state, Chandel added.
“The state (Congress) government is effective in not delivering on its promises to voters and the public must not place their confidence in the government.”
On the other side the Bhupesh Baghel government is working hard to promote its welfare schemes for the people.At the same time the Chief Minister has been reaching out to citizens by way of the CM meeting campaign and trying to get a vitality of the people in the community.
Congress is currently in action in the state, under the direction of Baghel and is working to keep the people in a common position.
In the Jharkhand case, Baghel launched a blistering attack on the Central government as well as the Jharkhand MLAs have been camping in Chhattisgarh.
The Chief Minister has claimed that in the near future, ED as well as I-T raids will be conducted in the state.These raids were conducted earlier and similar raids are expected to follow shortly, he added.
“BJP is the one who orders these raids since it doesn’t consider itself to be a believer in democratic principles,” he said.
Political analyst Rudra Awasthi believes that the Congress is constantly enhancing its political base in the field.
The old party has launched various welfare programs, which have helped the poor and also revolutionized the economy of the rural area.
Awasthi states that on the other side it is a huge issue to the BJP to defeat the Congress in the state.
The Saffron party recognizes of this fact and has introduced a number of modifications in its party.In the next few days, it will be dependent on the political abilities of the leaders of both parties as well as the strategies they employ to make progress in the state.
