Paris 3rd September : Around 1,000 pieces of luggage that were lost during the strike on July 1 at the Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in Paris have still not been handed over A top official has confirmed.

On July 1st, a protest of Paris Airports Group employees led to a three-hour shutdown by baggage handlers who handle with approximately 220,000 pieces of luggage each day, according to Xinhua news agency.

The total of 35,000 pieces of luggage were lost during the strike, a situation that caused a major damage to the image of the airport.

Concerning air traffic, Romanet stated that CDG has risen up to 80 percent of levels in 2019.

In the meantime, Paris Orly airport has returned to its pre-Covid-era passenger flow.
