Mumbai 1st, September : Famous singer Hariharan who has touched the lives of many with his talent in over four years of his career has released a brand new Ghazal titled “Bewafaa” in collaboration with Kumar Atul, who composed and wrote the track.The song also has the vocals of the US singer Shubha Chaki. “Bewafaa” is a cross-country collaboration that depicts the feelings of an emotional person in love.The concept of this ghazal and the collaboration with Hariharan first was conceived by Kumar Atul, who wanted to compose a piece that was unique with live-recorded instruments.It was composed in Raag Todi.
In a discussion about the ghazal and the connection, Hariharan said, “When Atul approached me to record the song, I instantly fell in love with the music and was captivated by the words of the ghazal.
I was incredibly happy creating this ghazal ‘Bewafa’.The song is vulnerable in its lyrics and provided a visual motion to the music.I hope that the audience enjoys our work and pours their love into this special Ghazal.”
The concept for the song came from Kumar Atul when he was in Chicago.He later approached Shubha who was in California.
In announcing the process he ultimately chose to cast the male voice The composer also said, “For the song, no one came to imagination other than singer Hariharan Ji, who was in Mumbai.The collaboration was our first cross-country venture and we could not have imagined anyone other than Hariharan Ji’s soulful voice for this track.It’s a soothing and soulful tune that will bring out the vulnerability and pain through its powerful lyrics.”
