Patna 31 August : In an effort to bring the opposition leaders together on the same platform Telanagana’s Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday visited Patna and met with his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar.Nitish Kumar Nitish Kumar, Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav and ministers were warmly received by KCR as the leader is widely known at the airport.
A ceremony to pay compensation to the kin of the martyrs of the Galwan Valley incident was held in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, where both Chief Ministers, together with many other senior officials of the parties in power took part.
KCR handed out checks of $10 lakh each to the Galwan Valley martyrs and Rs 5 lakh each to the 12 workers who died recently in an incident of fire in Hyderabad.
“It was a heavy weight in my heart.to travel to Patna which is a place of martyrs, and to pay respect for their incredible sacrifice.It’s a great honor for me to have been able to visit Patna,” he said.
In the course of the event, Nitish Kumar in particular, was in a rage against the BJP and the Narendra Modi’s government.
“The Centre isn’t performing any work.It’s only doing advertisements.People who think in work don’t need to promote,” he said.
“Centre has reduced the amount of funds that are allocated to states.We have demanded Bihar to be given the statutory of Bihar that the Centre did not grant up to now.Media organizations are also being snatched by an echelon of select individuals who are targeting opposition parties and only appreciating one.I would like to remind journalists to prove that you are not the ordinary people.Reporting should be conducted in the same way as it was in the past.” he added.
Tejashwi Yadav stated: “We have to stay united and be a force to serve the citizens of the nation.If we can manage peace, prosperity, and progress will be inevitable.
Today the spreading of poison in society is the biggest issue for us.We must work on eliminating the toxic substances from our society.”
Rao also was also able to meet RJD head Lalu Prasad Yadav before returning to Hyderabad in the evening.
