Daniel Craig forgot ‘Knives Out Accent’, and was forced to learn it all again for the sequel

Los Angeles, Aug 31 : Hollywood star Daniel Craig did not remember his “Knives Out” accent.Representing his character as Detective Benoit Blanc in the sequel ‘Glassonion, A Knives Out Mystery’, he revealed that he spent months working with an expert in dialect to perfect the detective’s Kentucky drawl, a second time.
“I went off to work with an accent coach for three or four months prior to when we began filming.I’d lost the accent and I wasn’t looking to make an imitation.I wanted to keep it as real and grounded in the actual world as is possible,” Craig told Empire magazine as reported by aceshowbiz.com.

The former James Bond actor continued: “How do we* can we get something that captivated people’s attention and made them think about murder mysteries, and then do it again without making it an imitation of the original story?”

The original ‘Knives out film was a big hit when it debuted in the year 2019.Director Rian Johnson has stated that he prefers Craig’s character to have a bit of mystery about him.

He stated of the new film: “There’s definitely more Blanc however it’s not that appealing to me.It’s the idea of developing the character of Benoit.Similar to with Poirot and Miss Marple, what’s fun is the way that the aspects of Benoit’s character are revealed through his actions of solving each of the mysteries.”

As a 007 actor, Craig has appeared in five movies, Craig said that he is confident about making ‘Knives out’ an extremely successful sequence of films.

“I’ve spent the last fifteen years of my life trying to achieve this in an organization and I’m not scared of it.If you have the right people in the room and have the best ability, then you’ll be able to succeed.

“Rian’s an amazing writer and doesn’t wish to do it again (himself).

We also don’t want to disappoint anyone We want the audience to be entertained by the world was created in the first novel and trust in the story,” he added.
