New Delhi, Aug 30 : Google is likely to begin the rollout of Android 14 Beta on its Pixel devices in April 2023, when the quarterly platform release (QPR1) beta test for Android 13 will begin next month.Google initially stated that the Android 13 QPR betas would be available until June 2023.
The report now states that “Android 13 Beta has ended with the stable launch of Android 13 in August 2022” The company also states that the QPR1 beta is scheduled to begin next month.
The beta releases are set to “continue until March 2023,” and there could only be two QPRs T1B (stable in December) and T2B, as reported by 9to5Google.
Then, Android 14 beta releases begin, probably in April with UPB builds for the Pixel.
The company also stated that it was a requirement that “devices must be running an un-Developer Preview publicly stable version to be enrolled in the beta program.”
If you’re using a Developer Preview, Google tells you to upgrade to the stable version and then sign up in the Android Beta Programme.
Android 13 Beta 1 was released one month prior to the its annual Google I/O developer conference this year.
The Android 14 Developer Preview could begin in February, according to the report said.
Google this month began the rollout of Android 13 with many new features, including enhanced privacy controls and language settings, among others beginning with Pixel devices.
Google announced that Android 13 will roll out to Samsung Galaxy, ASUS, HMD (Nokia phones), iQOO, Motorola, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, Sharp, Sony, Tecno, vivo, Xiaomi and more in the coming year.
