Los Angeles, Aug 30 : Actress Jennifer Connelly is set to play opposite Joel Edgerton in the series adaptation of the Blake Crouch novel ‘Dark Matter’.The nine-episode series was purchased from Apple in March.
The series follows Jason Dessen (Edgerton), scientist, professor, and father who, one night, while walking home in the street of Chicago is taken into a different version of his life.
Wonder quickly transforms into a nightmare as he is attempting to return to his life in the multiverse of possible lives he could have had.
In this maze of reality-bending thoughts, he embarks on a difficult journey to get back to his family and protect their lives from the most terrifying and invincible enemy that he can imagine: himself.
Connelly will play Daniela Jason’s wife.
This is one of the few TV roles Connelly has had during her entire career.She currently appears in the TNT show ‘Snowpiercer’ which is scheduled to conclude with the fourth season that is scheduled to air.
She was also a part-time actress in the short-lived Fox Wall Street drama “The Street’.She is best known for her critically acclaimed film roles as well as her Oscar-winning role as a supporting actress in “A Beautiful Mind”.
She was most recently seen in the blockbuster ‘Top gun: Maverick’ and has also appeared in movies like ‘Requiem For A Dream’as well as “House of Sand and Fog’ and Blood Diamond.
