New Delhi, Aug 27 : The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia has said on Saturday that he will act as an armed shield in the face of the students to safeguard their future. He will not let the BJP shut down a single school in Delhi, the capital city of the nation.Sisodia’s remarks came in response to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, V.K.Saxena demanded an explanation by the Chief Secretary on the delay of two-and-a-half months in the capacity of the Vigilance Department to act on the Central Vigilance Commission’s (CVC) inquiry report on the construction of more classrooms in Delhi schools run by the government on Friday.
“The BJP and the Central government are working together to close Delhi’s government schools.
The BJP will not allow children in need receive an excellent education in top schools,” Sisodia said while talking to the media on Saturday.
“The BJP is scared of the Kejriwal model of education.
When the people realize the fact that schools all over India can be transformed into the same way as Delhi and the Delhi model, there will be an end to the BJP’s strategy of creating private schools across the country,” Sisodia said.
“In the past seven years, more than 72,000 schools have been closed in states ruled by the BJP to allow for 12,000 private schools.
The BJP has been in a mission to close government schools; 51,000 schools were closed between September 2018 to September of 2019,” the deputy CM claimed.
In a discussion about education for all on an overall level, he said, “It is the responsibility of the government to ensure that quality education is provided to every child of the country.
It is our obligation to ensure that they are provided with every opportunity. The BJP’s policy of shutting down schools of the government is nothing more than a blatant act of injustice.
The country can only grow when government schools are made available across India and upgraded to the same standard as private schools that are catering to 10-20 percent of people. We can’t trust them.”
Sisodia added that there are talks being held that the BJP has gotten rid of liquor scams and picked up a brand new “jumla” of corruption in the construction of classrooms in government schools.
“Earlier they attempted to disseminate misinformation about the excise law. Before that they made a false assertion of the existence of irregularities in donations made from the Aam Aadmi Party.
“They unleashed the CBI on our leaders, beginning with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. They then targeted me.They sent the CBI to my home about four years ago. Then, they filed fake FIRs with regard to 40 of our MLAs.However, nothing was discovered in the case of any of these cases.
“They once again targeted me up and made up the false story of the liquor scam. They searched my home once more, but the CBI returned empty with nothing.
They know that regardless of how they attempt, they will be unsuccessful every time,” Sisodia told the media.
