Los Angeles, Aug 26 : Singer Britney Spears’ fans all over the globe are applauding the pop singer’s return after she released her latest single with Elton John.
Spears worked with John on “Hold Me Closer’, a new take on his smash song ‘Tiny Dancing’.

The track is the first new music to come from Spears since her conservatorship ended in November 2021.Within hours of the time the song went live it has already topped numbers on iTunes across 29 countries as per the news site France Info, reports Variety.

In the course of the conservatorship Spears made music recordings, performed on tour and also held an Las Vegas residency, but she admitted last summer that she was required to perform against her will during the 13-year court-ordered agreement.

As Spears her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, continues her battle in the courtroom The star has been enjoying her newly found freedom and marriage to Sam Asghari, while keeping busy with projects of her own choosing, including an important book deal and making music in the studio with John.

Following the news of “Hold Me Closer” being released, Rosengart issued a statement to Variety and praised his client, whom he called an “brilliant artist” and “iconic person” who has “been through many things”.

“After our long-running legal battles and the success in the removal of her father as conservator and the end of the conservatorship in the last year, I found myself flooded with inquiries on the next steps Britney will do in the future.

My response was straightforward that ‘for the first time in 13 years, it is the sole responsibility of one individual and only one: Britney’,” Rosengart stated in an announcement to Variety.

“No anyone should be shocked that her debut album was an instant hit.As I’ve stated throughout the years, Britney is a brilliant artist and a recognizable person.It’s been a pleasure working with her.She’s gone through quite a few things.No matter of what happens in the future for her and what she decides to do I am so satisfied of her.”

Since the song is out The #FreeBritney movement that backed the pop star throughout her battle with conservatorship and has now launched the hashtag #JusticeForBritney is cheering for the princess of Pop.

The Grammy-winning pop star has sold over 100 million records over her career.She has also been credited with several No.1 singles and albums in the Billboard charts, and was ranked as Forbes the most lucrative female musician for several years.
