Panaji 26 Aug : Families of Haryana BJP president as well as TikTok actor Sonali Phogat have claimed that she was taken to Goa under the pretense of filming by accused people. “Sudhir Sagwan (PA of Phogat) told us that filming was taking place there on the 24th of August.
However, hotel rooms were booked for only two days on the 22nd and 23rd of August.There was no filming.It was a lie.We didn’t see any actors or film shoots at this location,” Rinku Dhaka, the brother of Sonali Phogat, told reporters in the city on Thursday.
Police filed the case under Section 302 (murder) of IPC against her personal assistant Sudhir Sangwan as well as his friend Sukhwinder Wasi on Thursday.
Phogat was in Goa on the 22nd of August and was staying in the hotel in Anjuna.
Goa Police on Thursday said Phogat’s body was found to have “multiple blunt force traumas” according to the report of postmortem.
“Whatever I have said in my complaint is true and based on that case will be decided.It was planned (murder) and she was brought in to commit this crime.” Dhaka said.
He claimed that the video of his sister who is seen dancing with one of the accused was taken in Gurugram but not Goa.
“This video is outdated, but it’s from Gurugram.They used it to take remove her image.It was planned for some time, therefore they shouldn’t be held accountable (after her passing),” he said.
In the meantime, Goa police are gathering evidence and documents in the investigation of Phogat’s murder.According to the police the arrest in this case will be announced after evidence is collected.
The Inspector General of Police Omvir Singh Bishnoi stated that an FIR under Section 302 (murder) was filed at the Anjuna Police Station based on the complaint made by the brother of Phogat.
“The case was filed on Thursday, following an investigation from Rinku Dhaka, who is the brother of Sonali Phogat.
He has made accusations against two people and we are now interviewing them,” Bishnoi said.
“We are taking statements.
At present, there is no definitive reason of death.We are gathering all the relevant documents whether they are digital or physical or evidence from oral.
While a postmortem took place, we haven’t received the report.Both are being investigated and arrests will be made upon the basis of evidence,” he said.
According to Goa police Sonali Phogat had a feeling of unease Monday night, and later in the morning (on Tuesday), she was taken to St.Anthony hospital in Anjuna about 8 a.m.and there she was declared to death.
